Warm amber, honey, and tan river stone fills this house from eave to foundation, with green glass beads tracing both windows and running in a loose trail to the door. A single soft yellow stone sits tucked among the pebbles near the peak, easy to miss unless the light catches it just right.
The door is hand-burned oak with its heart carved above the latch, and the roofline rises to a clean, confident point, weathered slate settling into the warm stone below.
The stone was gathered from Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry — a particularly warm, autumnal mix, the kind that makes you think of the mountain in October rather than May.
A cosy, amber-toned little house — the colour of tea and turf fires and early dark evenings.
Autumn, held in stone. 🍂🏡
