Buttermist Faerie House ☀️✨

White stone through and through, close-packed and gently glowing, with bright golden-yellow glass beads ringing the windows and trailing down to the doorway like little drops of butter-coloured sunlight against the snow-pale wall.

The door is hand-burned oak with a heart carved above the latch, and the house sits compact and sturdy, slate roof settling neatly over all that white.

Every stone came from Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry, chosen pale on purpose, so that cheerful yellow trim would have nowhere to hide.

A bright, happy little house — white as cream, trimmed in butter-gold, the kind that looks like sunshine even on a grey Kerry afternoon.

All the warmth of summer, held in a little white house. ☀️🤍
