The palest and most delicate of the whole batch β soft cream and white stone set close together, almost powdery in its softness, with lilac and amethyst glass beads tracing one window and running in a trail of green and purple down toward the door. A real branch, left long and natural, extends from the side of the house like a little awning, lichen-soft and silvered with age.
The door is hand-burned oak with a heart carved above the latch, and the roofline is one of the most striking in the set β slate tipped at a gentle, storybook angle over that long branch porch.
Every stone was gathered from Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry, and this one, more than almost any other, feels like it was plucked whole from a quiet corner of the mountain rather than built at all.
A house that feels ancient and new at once β soft as mist, with just enough colour to remind you itβs handmade, not found.
The quietest house on the mountain β and maybe the most magical. π«οΈπ
