This one stops you. The stone is almost entirely white — small, pale, hand-placed pebbles packed close together so the whole house seems to glow — and around the windows and door runs a trail of deep ruby-red glass, round and glossy as berries in the snow. A single red teardrop sits above the door like a drop of winter holly.
The door is warm hand-burned oak with a heart at its centre, and the roofline rises tall and proud, with a little mossy branch standing guard at the corner, lichen soft and green against all that white stone.
Every stone was carried down from Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry — but this house in particular feels like it was built on the one clear, cold morning when the frost caught the mountain just right.
This is a house for someone who loves a bit of drama in their quiet things — white and red, sharp and sweet, utterly unforgettable on a windowsill or tucked into a winter garden.
Where snow meets berry, and magic lives in between. ❄️🔴
