Cream and honey-coloured stone makes the body of this house, and right at the peak a small burst of yellow glass glows like the sun breaking through cloud. Green glass beads ring both windows and trail down to the door, giving the whole thing a feeling of early summer.
The door is warm hand-burned oak, heart etched above the latch as always, and the roofline rises to a graceful point, weathered slate catching whatever light the day offers.
Every stone was gathered on Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry, chosen for its warm, sun-washed colour and set by hand.
A bright, optimistic little house — the kind that seems to carry its own good weather with it wherever it goes.
For someone who could use a little sunshine of their own. ☀️🏡
