Warm gold and tan river stone fills this house corner to corner, with bright green glass beads ringing both windows in loose, leafy circles. A sturdy branch rises from the gable like a little chimney, lichen-soft with age, and the roof sits steep and sure, dark slate against the honeyed stone below.
The door is warm hand-burned oak, heart carved above the latch, set into a doorway edged the same bright green as the windows.
The stone was gathered from Mangerton Mountain in County Kerry — a warm, earthy mix, chosen to let that fern-green trim stand out clean against it.
A steady, grounded little house — handsome without trying too hard, the kind that looks right at home tucked among real ferns and moss.
Stone and fern, side by side. 🌿🏡
